Women’s clothes can be expensive. Unless you are grubbing round the flea market every Sunday then you've got to count on a reasonable slice of your salary just to cover the bits that would get you arrested if you didn't.

 

And that is not talking designer prices. If you’re looking for name brand items then you’re not leaving the house without spending the cost of an automobile on your outfit. So what’s a girl to do?

 

Of course you could go the knock-off route and save a lot of money on designer goods. The only drawback to that plan is that you still have to buy all of the clothes.

 

The glamorous Hollywood Actress route is to just steal the merchandising. Winona Ryder is notorious for refusing to pay retail for her clothing. She actually just refuses to pay in general. She’s stolen $4,000 worth of clothes from Fred Segal, and shoplifted $1,100 worth of clothes from Shabon.

 

Fred Segal seems to be a bit of a sticky-fingered celeb favourite actually seeing as how Britney recently caused chaos there by 'forgetting' to pay for a $200 blouse. She also pinched a wig off a sex store mannikin in spite after the store owner objected to her trying on knickers in the changing room so so proceeded to strip her knickers off in front of the customers. The lucky customers must have thought all their Christmases had come at once. There they were innocently nipping in for a bit of sex shop browsing and getting a free flash from Britney at the same time.

 

If she can’t afford designer clothing than how can the average woman hope to buy anything nice? Every woman might dream of being like Julie Roberts in Pretty Woman and going into a store and getting any and everything she wanted but If you want to dress like a star and don’t want to whore yourself out to a billionaire, a la Pretty Woman, than there’s really only one true solution – do a Winona.

 

Or a Courtney Love, Farrah Fawcett, Olga Korbut or Bai Ling (yes, I said 'Who?' too. She's a Lost d-lister). Yes, yes. We know. With all the stresses and strains of the celeb lifestyle it is so easy to become forgetful. Just ask Judy's Richard Manderlay who was aquitted of half-inching a bottle of champers because he was simply absent-minded.

 

Alternatively keep it this side of the law and shop and save for your designer clothes, handbags, shoes and cosmetics the Shoppish way.
